Two workdays at different farm sanctuaries this week. Our intern rule. [Photos]
Posted by Drew.
This week we had 2 exceptional interns, from upward bound, working at VegWorcester, Kristi & Sylvia. We also had one of our summer-long interns, Henry, working with us. See below for a recap and check out our two sets of photos on flickr.
What did the VegWorcester intern do this week?
For the first two days, we did some office tasks, then the group worked at farm sanctuaries for the other two days. We made buttons, gave out leaflets about animal rights, typed up email addresses from our recent tabling events (like stART on the Street), created content for our website, prepared mailings to all of the businesses listed in our Veg Dining Guide, then for the last two days we took trips to Maple Farm Sanctuary and Sunny Meadow Sanctuary.
When we got to the Maple Farm Sanctuary, everyone got a tour, met the rescued animals, and then we cleaned out stalls. On Thursday we had 2 more interns join us from upward bound and we went Sunny Meadow Sanctuary for another work day.

Check out our photos from our day cleaning out chicken stalls at Maple Farm Sanctuary and our day helping taking care of baby goats at Sunny Meadow Sanctuary.

Aww, look at that kid in the first picture! Looks like a good time to be had for all.
Would love to get involved in this type of venture. Is there anything similar to this in and around Glasgow or Strathclyde? Please email
Hey Jasmine, we are actually a group in Worcester, MA, USA. I think you may be thinking of Worcester, UK.
