Feedback from Buddha Hut Buffet Fundraiser (Apparently ya’ll liked it)

Posted by .

The survey about last Saturday’s buffet fundraiser at Buddha Hut has been running for about a week now. It’s been great to read what people thought about the event. The survey will be online for another couple of days. Have you filled it out yet?

Here are some of the more interesting comments:

There are some criticisms:

During busy times, almost half of the food trays could be empty. It would be nice if there was a quicker turnaround on re-filling the food, but it’s totally understandable of it’s not possible.

For the most part, everyone said they would go again if we did another one next month. Here’s my favorite comment:

I would go every month for as long as this buffet exists. I’ll never go to Boston for Grasshopper’s buffet ever again.

The buffet at Grasshopper in Alston is great and all. But Worcester stands on its own two feet.

Most people who responded said the $10 price was perfect and the diversity of food was their favorite part. Eg:

Pretty delicious!В  I loved all the fried spring rolls and faux rangoons and all the similar things in that hot tray.

The responses indicate that most people found out about the buffet through either the VegWorcester blog (subscribe now) or the VegWorcester facebook page.

The chances are very good that we will work with Buddha Hut to put together another one in August. As soon as we get some more feedback, we’ll take it to Buddha Hut and see if we can set a date for August.В  Sometime in the next week or so there should be a new date. It’ll be posted by no later than July 23, which is the date of the next VegWorcester general meeting.

If you went to the buffet fundraiser on July 11 and haven’t filled out the survey yet, you should it. It only takes a couple minutes and it will help us gauge whether or not to do it again. Plus the owners of Buddha Hut are really interested in hearing what everyone thought.
