Why are there so many haters? Too many people preaching from the pulpit…demanding that their own preconceived notions be used as the gospel. I’ve abandoned meat and dairy after my dad had his second heart attack. I am amazed how changing ones lifestyle seems to bring out so many cock-sure haters.

I think the idea of a vegan strip club is ridiculous and i agree with comment 19!!! there are no male strip clubs in Portland(at least what i know of)and men always use that as an excuse-outlet my ass! You wonder why divorce rates are so high here, might be because of these outlets and the woman at home not thinking their good enough and working out all the time for their fat husbands who could care less about keeping their spouse attracted to them as long as they have their “outlets”

I am sorry to hear that this is why you left portland. i know that where i live, there are not many vegans, in fact, my family members are some of the only ones, but there are lots of amazing people. i don’t think the vegan demographic should necessarily determine where you live…
that being said, i happen to know know dozens of vegans who live in portland, specifically my sister-in-law who lives in a vegan house with 10 friends. They often host large vegan get-togethers. she is a women’s studies and linguistics major. Just for the record.

Handsome – I think you missed the point I was trying to make completely.

I was merely saying that having the status of a vegan does not inherently make someone an advocate for equality, nor does being a stripper inherently make someone a victim of discrimination or exploitation.

The human condition is far too variable and complex to allow for statements of the absolute.

That is all I was trying to say.
